they/them, she/her

As a queer Tamilian woman of color, I’ve always nurtured a passion not only for raising up the voices of marginalized communities, but also truly listening to those voices. I’m particularly passionate about racial and environmental justice – these are two causes I believe cannot be separated.

At MissionWired, I specialize in copywriting and editing for political and nonprofit clients, and ensuring the accuracy and impact with which we advocate, fundraise and raise awareness for vital causes. I draw from my research, writing and marketing & communications backgrounds, as well as from the diversity of my own life experience, to ensure we are always consciously writing about and representing BIPOC, queer, global and disabled perspectives, and are constantly examining ourselves and the world we strive to change. I’m most proud of my extensive research on causes I care about – from learning about youth mental health to advocating for Indigenous communities to examining historical artifacts and figures. I am also teaching myself how to play bass guitar! I love playing songs by Crumb, The Strokes and Her’s.
